Looking Back on 2021
As we prepare to bid farewell to 2021, we cannot help but recognize the beauty of this fantastic and unpredictable year.
Nobody could have prepared us for the disaster that wreaked the event industry in 2020, but the return to live events and reunions shared with clients, industry partners and colleagues is something our team will never forget.
2021 acted as the light at the end of a dark and very narrow tunnel, and after 18 months of daunting changes and an ongoing pandemic, it was the very thing we needed to move forward.
Going Live and Enjoying Every Moment
Like many of us have experienced, returning to live events began with the feeling of unknown. It took time to adjust to the swing of things, but overnight our team’s ability to execute event after event returned.
After sharing our excitement and a few tips on how to get back to normal, we were fortunate enough to host 158 events from April to December ranging from weddings, to Roaring ‘20s corporate celebrations, to bar mitzvahs, Quinceanera’ s, Sweet 16, Music Concerts, Video Productions and Photoshoots.
We also had the pleasure of hosting our 100 years Anniversary Celebration.
As many of you know, Stan Mansion was built in 1920 as a Masonic Temple. Braking of the ground started on November 1st, 1920, and was completed on April 27th, 1921. It took the masons only 6 months to complete this magnificent building!
Reuniting with Industry Partners
Returning to a new normal, we also found ourselves reuniting with our beloved industry partners and friends. Nothing could have reminded us more of our shared camaraderie as we laughed, hugged, and reminisced on the year we had spent missing evenings of collaboration together in one room.
Between sponsoring organizations and fundraising events and finding the opportunity to once again network with the industry’s best, we have had an eventful year.
2021 could not have been a greater year, and in turn, Stan Mansion has experienced growth like never before. We have been fortunate to be nominated as one of the 10 most gorgeous venues by Secret Chicago, #1 “Chicago’s Top 25 Wedding Venues (2021)” by Wedding Rules, The Knot Best of Weddings, Wedding Wire Couples Choice Awards 2021.
We made the news twice on CBS News and once on CNBC and Cera Stan, our owner was interviewed by Chicago Suntimes and New York Times as a wedding expert.
Our growth and ability to succeed despite the year and a half behind closed doors simply reflect the tenacity and strength of our team. We are proud to look back on this fantastic year and could not be more grateful for those that make Stan Mansion stand tall.
We Thank You for your support and wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year!
XOXO
